Your journey begins at Camp Děčín, where you are equipped with a canoe or kayak, paddles, and a dry bag, along with a brief and helpful introduction. As you set off at a relaxed and steady pace, the river gently carries you through a landscape shaped by time and nature. Soon, you glide past Shepherd’s Wall, known for its striking cliffs and via ferrata routes, while the elegant Děčín Chateau rises beautifully above the riverbank, adding a touch of historic charm to the scenery.

The route continues deeper into the breathtaking sandstone canyon that connects Bohemian Switzerland National Park and Saxon Switzerland National Park. Towering rock formations, lush greenery, and peaceful waters create a truly immersive experience in nature. Your journey concludes in the charming spa town of Bad Schandau, where the handover takes place on a quiet beach along the left riverbank, just before the first bridge near the ferry and train station.
