THE GREAT WATERFALL HIKE AND BIKE - Biking

After a scenic drive from Patreksfjörður to Birkimelur, the adventure begins with a bike ride to the stunning Vatnsfjörður Nature Reserve. Following in the footsteps of Raven Flóki, the first Norseman to reach Iceland, you will explore the area where he landed guided by three ravens and first glimpsed the icy fjords that inspired the name Iceland. Stop at the monument honoring Flóki and learn about his remarkable journey while taking in the surrounding landscapes. The ride continues toward the magnificent Þingmannafossar waterfalls, located in some of Iceland’s oldest geological formations, offering breathtaking scenery and opportunities for photography.

At Þingmannafossar, park the bikes and hike along multiple levels of the waterfalls, enjoying panoramic views and the soothing sounds of cascading water.
