Excellent tour. Highly recommended. An amazing experience in an incredible landscape. The tour is extremely well organised and the guide was just impeccable, throughout the trip she explained a lot of interesting things about the environment we were in and also about Icelandic culture, traditions and popular history. Warning: it is important to read the organisers’ instructions before joining the tour (especially concerning appropriate clothes and shoes). It’s all written in the background information but it’s pretty clear that some people don’t read it.
Great trip! Maybe the tour guide could have given us more information about the area / landscape / history. When we asked questions he was happy to answer. He did say the regular guide was sick and he had to step in. Still an excellent tour, just be prepared for a long drive.
An incredible trip I dreamt of for the best part of my life. Iceland rewarded this commitment with an amazing weather, baby arctic foxes and Annick, our wonderful guide! This long and bumpy road was worth every minute on it and I was very impressed by the maestria of our driver on : rocks, sand, water and snow. Definitely a huge thank you to everyone involved.
