This district contain centuries of histories, curiosities and anecdotes, based on facts as well as mythological histories, which will give you an insight in the true origin of the city that later came to be the most important capital of northern Europe. The guided walk is followed by a guided tour of the Grand Cathedral, which houses fascination testimonies of what kind of social, political, and religious issues Stockholm has faced during it’s centuries of existence. The interiors in Gothic style, host interesting artefacts linked to the history of the Stockholm and Sweden. Amongst them, the first existing painting depicting the city of Stockholm as well as the iconic wooden statue S:t George and the Dragon. The Cathedral is, in addition to being the seat of the bishop of Stockholm, the official church of the Swedish Royal Family.
