I've recently completed my first hike with Active Weekends. I've arrived from US and next day hiked the Retezat Mountains. The tour is very well organized, easy to communicate with the guide and quick to respond. Our guides Andrei and Ionut, are professional mountainers and very knowledgeable of the area. I felt very safe and really enjoyed their stories about the area. They picked scenic spots to take brakes and the trails are unique in terrain and not busy. You really feel like the entire mountain is just yours! Thank you Active Weekends for a memorable hike!!

My buddy and I arrived from UK and US ... and Marius guided us for a 4 day hiking trip based out of Rimetea. Marius' local knowledge of the mountains is stellar and we were very happy with the bespoke routes he chose after listening to what we were looking for. Marius is professional and knowledgeable in the mountains but moreover he is a fount of cultural and historical knowledge that kept us entertained and educated. For me at least, as we slogged up mountains he fleshed out a hitherto 2 dimensional image of Romania into a 3D technicolor vision of a rich, complex and culturally vibrant country. Two thumbs up.

I started going on hiking trips with Active Weekends in September 2019 and I constantly went after that; the first thing I do after one is finished is to check and register for the next events; Marius is very well prepared for this kind of activity, knows very well the tracks where he holds the trips, well organized, ready to answer any question you might have and he knows to adapt the pace to the group he guides; The regions were he organizes the tours offer unique landscapes and Marius can offer lots of information about the geography and history of those places I can highly recommend Active Weekends for hiking tours
