The tour begins with a stop at the scenic Leopard’s Rock, perched on a rocky incline that offers breathtaking panoramic views over the majestic Mzimkhulu River Gorge. This stunning viewpoint is a favorite for photographers and nature lovers alike, providing a dramatic introduction to the natural beauty of the region. From there, we continue to the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve, a spectacular landscape filled with dense forests, rushing rivers, rocky ravines, and impressive cliffs carved out by the Umzimkulwana River. Though named after the elusive oribi antelope, the reserve is home to a variety of other wildlife including baboons, leopards, small antelope, and a vibrant range of birdlife — with five species of kingfishers and seven species of eagles making this area a birdwatcher’s haven.

For the adventurous, Oribi Gorge offers a range of adrenaline-pumping activities including the world-famous Wild Swing and Wild Slide. The Wild Swing is the highest of its kind in the world, launching thrill-seekers over 100 meters from the top of a waterfall into the gorge below. For a more grounded adventure, the suspension bridge—spanning 48 meters and hanging 100 meters above the gorge floor—provides jaw-dropping views of Lehr’s Waterfall, Baboon’s Castle, and the surrounding canyon walls. All adventure activities are conducted under the guidance of professional instructors with top safety equipment and standards. Please note that participation in these activities is at your own expense, as they are not included in the cost of the tour. Whether you're seeking tranquility in nature or a jolt of adrenaline, Oribi Gorge offers an unforgettable experience.
