Two Day Arctic Dog Mushing Expedition Showcases Remote Wilderness

A two day dog mushing expedition is offering visitors an immersive journey through some of Europe’s most remote Arctic landscapes. The adventure begins at a husky farm where participants are introduced to the dogs, provided with Arctic suitable clothing, and guided through the basics of sled driving and team setup.

Before setting out, guests learn how to safely handle a sled and understand the roles and personalities within their dog teams. The route takes them across a variety of terrains including frozen lakes, marshlands, rivers, and forest glens, with constantly changing Arctic light enhancing the experience from morning glow to sunset and night skies.

A highlight of the journey includes the possibility of traveling under star filled skies and even witnessing the northern lights, depending on conditions. The experience combines navigation, teamwork, and close interaction with the dogs, offering both adventure and a strong connection to the natural environment.

Overnight accommodation is provided in a traditional kota at the homestead, where guests join in evening routines such as feeding, brushing, and walking the dogs. On the second day, the expedition continues into new landscapes before returning to the farm, concluding a fully guided experience that includes meals, instruction, and all essential equipment.
