Discover the fascinating world of wild edible plants during a guided foraging class and nature hike in the scenic Welsh Hills near Taliesin in Spring Green Wisconsin. The experience begins with a short instructional session at the base of the trail where participants learn the basics of foraging including why people forage where it is appropriate to forage and how to do so safely and responsibly. Participants also learn key plant identification techniques and become familiar with common plant families that produce edible spring plants found in the region.
After the introduction the group sets out on a two mile guided loop along the Welsh Hills Trail.
