On this full-day wine experience, you’ll explore the renowned wine-producing region of Setúbal, known for its scenic landscapes and rich winemaking traditions. You'll stop at different wineries, tasting a variety of wines while enjoying regional specialties like local cheese, chorizo, and bread. There are two tour options: visit 3 wineries with 10 wine tastings and light snacks, or visit 2 wineries with 7 tastings followed by a full lunch at a traditional family-owned restaurant in the Palmela village. Along the way, take in the beauty of the Arrábida mountain range and learn about the area’s winemaking history and methods. The choice of wineries may vary depending on availability and weather, ensuring the best experience each day.

Among the featured partners is the historic José Maria da Fonseca, one of Portugal’s oldest family-run wineries, in operation since 1834 and currently managed by the 7th generation. This winery is always included in the tour. You may also visit Quinta do Alcube, a smaller, family-owned cellar dating back to 1913, offering a more intimate and agricultural perspective on winemaking. Additionally, you’ll experience the “Mother House” of Setúbal’s 24 wineries, where you can compare various terroirs and styles. For a broader industrial view, the Adega Cooperativa de Palmela provides insight into the production process, especially during harvest.
