The access point to the river is located just a short distance from the CR 419 bridge. Visitors will need to walk approximately 100 meters from the parking area on the northeast side of the bridge down a grassy easement to reach the unimproved launch site under the bridge. This route offers a natural approach to the water and is suitable for small boats, canoes, or kayaks. The area is quiet and mostly undeveloped, providing a peaceful setting for paddling, fishing, or enjoying the scenery. While the launch is simple, it is functional and gives easy entry to the river for day trips or longer excursions.
To reach the site from Oviedo, take CR 419 east for about 2.5 miles until you reach the northeast side of the bridge over the river. The launch is directly accessible from the easement, and there is space for parking along the roadside. The terrain is grassy and slightly uneven, so appropriate footwear is recommended. This location is ideal for those seeking a natural river experience with minimal development. Paddlers can explore the river, enjoy local wildlife, and take advantage of the calm waters for a relaxing day outdoors. The surrounding area offers beautiful views of the riverbanks and native vegetation, making it a scenic starting point for recreational activities on the water.
