Named for its crystal-clear waters, the Emerald Cut of Rock Springs Run offers a truly magical paddling experience. As you make your way upstream through one mile of lush, jungle-like surroundings, the vibrant emerald water and soft sandy bottom create a tropical oasis right in the heart of Central Florida. The scenery shifts between narrow, intimate passages and open stretches where sunlight dances on the water, making every moment feel serene and enchanting. This journey invites you to immerse yourself in nature, whether you’re gliding quietly beneath overhanging trees or pausing to take in the untouched beauty around you.
After reaching the turnaround point, you’ll enjoy a relaxing float back along the most scenic portion of Rock Springs Run. There are several inviting spots where you can hop out of your kayak for a refreshing swim, adding to the adventure and allowing you to experience the spring from a different perspective. For this trip, bringing water and light snacks is recommended to stay comfortable throughout the tour. Both single kayaks, with a maximum weight limit of 300 lbs, and double kayaks, with a limit of 450 lbs, are available. Children ages 2–12 are welcome but must ride with an adult in a double kayak, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for the whole family.

The park is very well maintained, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and organized, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable. King's Landing in Apopka was an incredible outdoor stop. The water is crystal clear and the scenery feels untouched, with trees arching over the river and wildlife all around. It’s one of the prettiest paddling spots we’ve been to in Florida. The launch area was organized and the staff were helpful getting everyone set up. Once you’re on the water, it’s peaceful and relaxing, with long stretches where it feels like you’re floating through a natural tunnel of greenery. It’s great for kayaking or paddleboarding at your own pace. Overall, it’s a beautiful and memorable experience. If you enjoy nature or being on the water, King’s Landing is absolutely worth the trip

He introduced every animal we encountered and shared lots of interesting information along the way. We learned so much while also having a great time. He made the whole trip memorable. We truly enjoyed our guided kayak tour at King’s Landing. Our guide Owen was so informative of the plant life and creatures we came across. He had great stories about the area and its history. He was personable, funny and engaging. I would highly recommend this tour especially if Owen is the guide. Besides the beautiful scenery, we saw a couple of deer, turtles, many different birds, even a red shouldered hawk.
