Aside from the prices being astronomical. The resort is great. Trails for all levels of skiers/boarders. Ski patrol is great and very friendly (as long as you are). Views are amazing for east coast skiing. Prices are rough but I will absolutely be back.
Hopefully this finds the GM, I wanted to express my gratitude for the assistance provided by one of your employees, Jay, at the end of the day today. A friend and I found ourselves at the bottom of the Morning Star Triple after the lifts had closed, realizing we were quite far from where we needed to be. Fortunately, Jay and a colleague arrived and kindly offered to drive us back to the lodge. Jay was incredibly helpful and truly a lifesaver. You have excellent staff, and Jay’s actions are a great reflection of your team. I wanted to make sure his efforts were recognized and appreciated.
Okemo is a fantastic ski resort, especially for families and mixed-ability groups. The ski school was extremely well run and organized, and the lift ticket discount when you book ski school makes it an excellent value. Our instructor, Amanda, was truly outstanding—she quickly assessed each person’s skill level and tailored her instruction accordingly. She gave us clear, concrete drills that immediately helped improve our skiing dramatically, answered every question thoughtfully, and even explained the science behind why certain techniques work, which made the learning really click. The mountain itself felt a bit overwhelming at first, particularly navigating back to Jackson Gore base area from the summit, but everyone we encountered—from staff to fellow skiers—was incredibly helpful. By the end of two days, the routes felt intuitive and easy to navigate. One thing I especially appreciated was the availability of long green trails that run all the way from the summit to the base, while still offering plenty of more challenging terrain for our advanced skiers. We had a small incident that required assistance from ski patrol, and they responded quickly, professionally, and with genuine care, which was very reassuring. Overall, Okemo is a well-managed resort with excellent instruction, thoughtful terrain variety, and a supportive atmosphere. We’d absolutely return.
