Join the Ultimate Outdoor Survival Camp at North Park and experience an action-packed week of outdoor adventure. Campers in grades six through nine will learn essential survival skills, including navigation using a compass, building fires, filtering water, foraging food, constructing shelters, and safely storing food in bear bags. Activities also include hiking and kayaking throughout North Park, giving campers a full outdoor experience. The program emphasizes teamwork and relationship-building through daily challenges and group activities, while campers practice problem-solving and leadership skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Each day runs from 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM, beginning with name games and icebreaker activities. Morning and afternoon sessions include hands-on survival skills, team-building exercises, and recreational activities, with scheduled breaks for sunscreen, water, and bathroom use. Campers eat packed lunches together and enjoy some out-of-the-sun table time before continuing afternoon adventures. The program proceeds rain or shine, with indoor activities such as crafts, games, and team challenges offered in the event of inclement weather. Staff supervise all activities, and safety protocols are in place to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
