Embark on an immersive three-day canoe tour along the scenic Lahn River from Gräveneck campsite to Balduinstein, enjoying a self-guided adventure that blends natural beauty with historical landmarks. The journey begins at the Gräveneck boat ramp, offering a perfect starting point with full amenities for a comfortable experience. On the first day, paddlers travel towards Runkel, passing through several self-service locks and stopping at charming villages such as Aumenau and Villmar. An overnight stay at Runkel campsite provides the chance to rest and enjoy local facilities, including nearby shops and restaurants.
The second day continues to Limburg, with highlights including the impressive Dehrn Castle and other historical sights along the river. After an overnight at Limburg campsite, the final leg takes paddlers past two more locks to reach Balduinstein, ending near the boat rental and railway station for convenient return connections. This flexible, self-guided tour allows participants to set their own pace, enjoy peaceful river scenery, and fully immerse themselves in the region’s culture and landscapes. Paddlers are responsible for arranging their own return transport, adding freedom and adventure to the journey.
