We had reserved a campsite online at Lake Sorpe and indicated during the booking process that we would be arriving with two small tents – together less than 10m², the maximum space stated on the website. We paid €19.50 in advance for one pitch and one person. Unfortunately, I forgot to include the second person when booking online and reported this by email two days later. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a response. I was then told by phone that the second person could simply be paid on-site. Upon our arrival – in very bad weather – we again indicated at check-in that we were arriving with two small tents. Nevertheless, we had to pay an additional €10 for the second tent, even though we hadn't exceeded the maximum permitted total area. This additional fee wasn't clearly communicated on the website, which caused some frustration. The campsite itself, although beautifully situated directly on the lake, is narrow and sloping in places. There is only a small kiosk, and we didn't see any playgrounds. The atmosphere became more relaxed after the initial (somewhat stiff) encounter with the campsite operators, but the overall impression was still marred by unclear communication and additional costs. The restrooms were clean, which is a positive. Nevertheless, we wouldn't visit this campsite again.

Great campsite. Was here last year and pitched my small tent right under a large pine tree. Beautiful lake and quiet. I paddleboarded to the barrier. The parking lot incurred unexpected extra costs, which I thought was a bit silly, but it was good. The campsite and the ambulances themselves are fantastic. I'll definitely be back 🛶🌱🌊🏕️

A simple but beautiful natural campsite right on Lake Sorpe. I was there with my fishing buddy. We set up our tents on two of the seven campsites. The boats were less than five meters away. Electricity can be booked for each campsite. Restrooms are 75 meters away. Restrooms and showers are clean. A very friendly couple who ran the site three weeks ago took over. The friendly kiosk/snack bar is currently only open from Thursday lunchtime due to a lack of staff. The site is mostly occupied by long-term campers. Everyone is very friendly, and many are also anglers. This quickly led to some great conversations. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back.

A really nice campsite. We were able to set up our tent right on the lakeshore and drink our coffee there in the morning. The economy with indoor and outdoor areas is very inviting and the sanitary facilities are clean. In addition, the groundskeeper is very friendly and helpful. We are thrilled and would love to come back!

Almost no place for a tent. Old and not fresh sanitary buildings.
