Each day covers around twenty kilometers allowing time to enjoy the scenery and stop for breaks along the riverbanks. Vineyards gradually appear along the hillsides as the route continues toward Freyburg where historic castles and monasteries overlook the valley. Overnight stays can be arranged in guesthouses near the river or guests may camp in their own tents for a more adventurous experience. After completing the trip boats and equipment are collected while visitors can still enjoy the beautiful town before returning by train.
