My husband and I and another couple, our friends, were blessed to enjoy this beautiful winery! We had a private tour, were able to see the inter workings of the amazing winery and had the most beautiful tasting experience! It was truly a magical day and one of our best memories of our trip to Sicily. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful place with such a special family behind it! Our group of 8 visited Bonfiglio Winery as part of a tour with Booking Sicily Tours when we visited Sicily. Our wine tasting was delightful. We started our visit with a walk with Antonio to the vineyard and some history about the family business. We then made our way to the main building which housed all of the equipment for a short lesson on how they make their wines. Then, we went upstairs to the tasting room. It was a beautiful space. Antonio had set a table of 8 for us. We also got to walk around the room, taking in the art and atmosphere. Outside of the door was a large patio overlooking the valley where the winery was located. It provided a great background for our group’s photos. We went back inside for our tasting and sat down. We tasted an ample amount of the three wines, each one of them with their own personalities. An unexpected surprise was the trays of meats and cheeses to accompany our tasting. The aged cheeses were our favorites. We could have stayed there all day. The wines were so delicious that we had two cases sent back to the States. Ordering with Antonio was very easy and quick. The small touches of a family winery are what sets Bonfiglio Winery apart. We were sad to leave but so happy we were able to spend some time there. It was a day we won’t soon forget. Thank you, Antonio for a one of a kind experience!
