Manoa Falls Trail is a true nature gem in Honolulu, easy enough for most hikers. When I visited, the waterfall didn’t have much water, but it’s important to note that swimming isn’t allowed due to bacteria. The trail can get very muddy and slippery—especially if it’s drizzling like when I went—so wear sturdy shoes with good grip, as there are a lot of stones along the path. There’s a $7 parking lot at the start and a building with restrooms before you begin the trail. Walking through it feels like trekking in the middle of a jungle—it’s peaceful and refreshing. This spot may not be super popular, but I think it’s absolutely worth visiting when you’re in Honolulu.

Manoa Falls is a great hike if you’re looking for something scenic and relaxing 🌿 The walk takes around one to two hours and is surrounded by lush rainforest and greenery, making it feel calm and refreshing. The trail is mostly easy with a few moderate sections, and it can get muddy or slippery, so good shoes are helpful 👟 The waterfall at the end is a beautiful reward and makes the hike worth it 💦 A great option for anyone wanting to enjoy Hawaii’s natural beauty without a long or intense hike 🌺🌴

A well cared for trail with beautiful trees and fair few green ringneck parrots. The trees are impressive and the falls are very cool to look at. Please note that swimming is not permitted or recommended due to bacteria. The actual walk itself is fairly easy with some incline and steps, so not wheelchair accessible. I will say that it can be VERY slick and muddy so prepare with sandals or shoes that have good tread and you don't mind getting mucky.

Beautiful short trail — I really enjoyed it! Once you reach the falls, if you’re up for a little extra challenge, there’s another trail that leads to a stunning lookout. Highly recommend taking it if you have the time, energy, and want a bit more adventure. Overall, my experience was very good. Definitely recommend coming early though — after a certain time it gets pretty crowded, and the peaceful nature vibe fades with all the conversations and people playing music on speakers. Still, it’s a must-do trail in Honolulu and absolutely worth the visit.

Nice trail to hike on. There were lots of other hikers on the trail too. Many resting spots for taking break. It was humid making the hike harder than it should be but still a nice hike. Dress appropriately and be prepared to sweat a lot. Advisable to bring some water too.
