This spot is absolutely gorgeous! The tide wasn't high at the time we went, so we weren't able to experience/see the entire effect of the water coming out of the blowhole like a cannon; but it was still a very beautiful spot. I'd recommend going during high tide to be able to fully experience the blowhole, but you don't want to miss this beauty!
Halona Blowhole Lookout was one of my favorite lookouts on our trip to Oahu. The views are beautiful, and there’s even a small beach/cove at the bottom if you’re adventurous enough to walk down. There’s ample parking, and it’s easy to spend 30 minutes just walking around, watching the blowhole, and taking pictures - or longer if you decide to explore the beach below. Definitely a must-stop along this drive.
We stopped off here on the way to Kailua. Parking was limited, but people come and go quickly. Looking out over the Pacific was impressive and the water was so blue. The blowhole wasn’t that active, but still fun to see. People were going down to the cove below and swimming, but that seemed to present an increased risk of dying to me. Pretty cool for a quick stop off the highway.
