Lovely museum hiding a few surprises. We highly recommend buying your tickets in advance. We could still watch the Rembrandt painting in renovation, protected by a glass wall (fun to see!) It’s quite tricky to stick to an itinerary though…

Fantastic, traditional museum, full of art and artifacts that tell the story of old Amsterdam. I loved the Van Gogh's of course, but there were many more interesting exhibits. Give yourself a full day and take it in. Lots of spaces to rest, and more than 1 cafe. If you love the hits, take in the Gallery of Honor. If you love ships and boats. there are some great surprises. Learn more about the "Golden Age", and Dutch colonialism. I think my favourite exhibit was the 17th Century Dutch whalers' hats, all different colours and patterns, so that the sailors could be recognised from a distance.

I had a great experience at this museum. The best museum in Amsterdam I guess. Lots of historical arts and collections. It's kinda like you're being brought back to the past time. All of the exhibitions are aesthetically captivating with nice lighting and arrangement. The building itself is also beautiful, inside and outside. Imho it is a must visit place in Amsterdam for those who travel to the city.

Mecca for the art lovers! Netherlands gave us so many talented painters, and the painters themselves gave us such a great number of art, with so many of them being here. If you like contemplating art, reserve a whole day for a visit. If you want to see just the most famous pieces, you are not going to be disappointed either. Lot of space, friendly staff (shoutout to the security guard who had a chat with almost everyone in qeue!) and LOT of awesome paintings.

😍Beautiful museum not to miss in Amsterdam. Book your tickets in advance! ‼️Go early because it will take you almost 2 hours to see all the sections and art work. 😉 I recommend to know beforehand all the rooms and art you want to see, so you will make the most out of your visit. ♿️ accesible for people with restricted mobility mobility and parents with strollers. Elevators, electric stairs and big hallways available.
