Visitors to Hatteras Island can now enjoy a two-week kayak rental option designed for a convenient and flexible vacation on the water. The service makes kayaking accessible for all skill levels, offering an easy way to explore both calm and more dynamic coastal environments.

The double sit-on-top kayaks are built for versatility, allowing paddlers to explore the peaceful waters of Pamlico Sound or venture into ocean conditions for a more active experience. Each tandem rental includes a kayak, two paddles, two lifejackets, and comfort seatbacks for a stable and comfortable ride.

Rental terms state that all charges apply for the full duration of possession, regardless of usage, with no refunds for weather-related interruptions. Customers are fully responsible for equipment safety and condition during the rental period, with any loss or damage subject to repair or replacement charges.

Optional damage insurance is available only for surfboard rentals and applies per board, excluding theft, loss, injury, or other equipment. Reservations are limited to weekly bookings, and free delivery and pickup are offered for qualifying rentals of $75 or more across designated Hatteras Island locations, including Rodanthe, Salvo, Waves, Avon, Buxton, Frisco, and Hatteras.
