A very nice lovely Zoo that’s full of activities and stuff to do for both adults and kids. You will really enjoy your time over here. The zoo is big and full of animals. It was great seeing the panda for the first time. It’s definitely recommended for a family

Very nice zoo to visit, your can ride on little train and take the cable car to see those beautiful animals

I ordered tickets from Klook and had to make changes through the website they provided. The venue is expansive, so I recommend bringing sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and a mini fan to stay comfortable during the long walks. You can enjoy close encounters with animals such as giraffes, deer, and others if you take the train tram that circles the area. Alternatively, consider the 12-seater buggy option with a zookeeper for a more personalized tour, though this comes at an additional cost. Overall, spending a full day there can be quite exhausting. I suggest staying at their hotel and planning for at least two days to fully explore the zoo.

IG: iamcynditravel XHS: cynditravel Fb: Cyndi_Travel Chimelong Safari Park in Panyu District is indeed a pricier ticket, but it's an experience that's truly worth it. Beyond just the zoo, there are nearby amusement parks and a water park, making it a comprehensive family-friendly destination. Inside the zoo, you'll encounter a diverse array of animals, some of which are quite rare like kangaroos, koalas, and anteaters, adding an extra layer of excitement to your visit. Given the size of the zoo, we suggest planning your route ahead of time, focusing on the animals you're most interested in first to maximize your time. We followed this approach and found it immensely rewarding. However, it's important to note that the food available onsite tends to be pricey and of average quality, so bringing your own food is advisable if possible. All in all, we highly recommend allocating a day to explore Chimelong Safari Park when visiting Guangzhou.

Chimelong Safari Park near PanYu in Guangzhou is still the best all-around Chimelong destination for the whole family to enjoy. Although the Guangzhou Zoo has improved itself in recent years so both are recommended. The new overhead Tram makes the Safari park more accessible if your group does not have walking stamina for entire park. Visitation tips: 1) Arrive 30 min before opening via South Gate, and queue up at the far left set of security gates. Most people are unaware of these. 2) Either head straight to Triplets Station to ride overhead Tram to North Entrace and get full Park overview OR walk to Panda exhibit to catch the morning active feeding time before they go to sleep. On past visits when looking at pandas later in the day, they were either sleeping or... doing inappropriate things to themselves that are hard to explain to children. Weird creatures, for sure. 3) Try to reach the North Exit area in good time, and check the line for Safari Park Train tour. If there is a line out to the Lake, it can easily be 2 hours despite saying 60 min. Forget it or splurge the 150 RMB for EasyPass to access shorter line. The Overhead Tram through the Safari park is quite good, although it does help to have been thru it on the ground to know where the animals are located. 4) The 12:45pm Elephant Show is worth making it to, but it has changed over past 10 years either for better or worse depending on opinion. They used to do fabulous circus-like elephant displays of climbing, balance, and ball playing of the sort that most westerners would nowadays consider cruel treatment for such majestic animals. Well, by 2024 they have changed the show to be more humane but still fun to see creative ways elephants will problem solve to reach and eat their favorite foods. 5) Check times for the White Tiger feeding displays. This is still of a style you would not see in a western zoo, where they dangle raw meat over the tiger's swimming pool and everyone relishes in the jumps and splashes of the Tigers.
