Painting Classes

Painting classes at Terranea offer guests the opportunity to explore their creative side under the guidance of expert instructors from the South Bay Artist Studio. Participants are encouraged to paint with intention, discovering what inspires them and expressing their personal vision on canvas. The sessions are designed to be both educational and enjoyable, allowing guests to experiment with different techniques and styles while receiving guidance and support from skilled artists. This immersive experience fosters creativity, relaxation, and a deeper appreciation for art in a supportive and inspiring environment.

One of the highlights of these classes is Plein Air Painting, a style borrowed from the French tradition that means “in the open air.” Guests are invited to capture the beauty of Terranea’s natural surroundings, from the coastal views to the resort’s scenic landscapes, creating a unique and original work of art to take home as a memorable keepsake. Each class lasts approximately two hours, and participants meet at the cielo picnic tables near the cielo point pool. A minimum of three participants is required for each session, and because the classes are held in a public space, additional attendees may join. This makes painting classes at Terranea an engaging, creative, and social experience suitable for guests of all skill levels.
