Kotor Bay Cycling Tour Blends Coastal Scenery and Cultural Heritage

A guided cycling experience around Kotor Bay is offering travelers an active way to explore Montenegro’s historic coastline, combining scenic rides with cultural landmarks and coastal views. The tour begins in the Old Town of Kotor or Tivat, where participants set off along mostly flat terrain with a gentle uphill section.

The route passes several notable heritage sites, including the abandoned Tresorela Palace and the Temple of the Holy Mother, recognized as one of the largest Catholic churches in the region. Riders also experience panoramic views of the bay while traveling along coastal roads toward Risan and Perast, with stops along the way for rest and sightseeing.

A key highlight of the journey is a short ferry crossing across the bay, followed by a boat visit to the island of Our Lady of the Rock in Perast. This stop provides a cultural and historical insight into one of the region’s most iconic landmarks before continuing the cycling route along the coastline.
