Experience the magic of São Miguel as you journey from Ponta Delgada into the heart of the Sete Cidades volcanic complex, one of the island’s most extraordinary natural landscapes. Traveling through winding mountain roads, you will reach panoramic viewpoints such as Pico do Carvão, where sweeping views over the north coast reveal the island’s dramatic contours. Along the way, you will encounter a historic nineteenth-century aqueduct, an impressive example of traditional engineering that once played a vital role in the island’s water distribution, adding cultural depth to this nature-focused adventure.
Discover the legendary viewpoints of Vista do Rei and the peaceful beauty of Santiago Lagoon before descending into the charming village of Sete Cidades, set between the iconic blue and green lakes. Take time to explore the parish, enjoy a relaxed coffee stop, and absorb the tranquil atmosphere shaped by volcanic forces. Continuing along the west coast, the tour reveals stunning ocean views from the Escalvado Viewpoint, overlooking Mosteiros and the remarkable Ferraria area, where land and Atlantic Ocean meet in dramatic harmony, before returning comfortably to Ponta Delgada.

31/08/2025. My wife and I went on the all day Sete Cidades Jeep tour from Ponta Delgada. This trip begins with a drive to the lip of the volcano with numerous viewpoint stops on the way, before dropping down into the town in the middle of the crater for a very tasty buffet lunch. After lunch we spent an hour kayaking in the lakes, before hopping on a pushbike for a leisurely cycle around part of the lake shore. Our guide for the day was excellent, a very friendly local man with an in depth knowledge of the area’s flora, fauna and history. Everything was included in the price and we both thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thoroughly recommended by us!

My family and I immensely enjoy the whale and dolphin sightseeing. We were lucky to see three huge, 45 ton whales, gray spotted dolphins and more. What I appreciated the most about this adventure was that Futurismo is intent on ethical tourism and we were able to race across the ocean and see these beautiful animals without causing them any stress. The marine biologist that accompanied us were very knowledgeable and excited about the work they do. We also did bike tours in Sete Cidades And rode along the paths at the green and blue lagoas - amazing beauty. We follow that up with visits to the surrounding overlooks. The four wheelers sharing the roads with us, and definitely not part of the Futurismo company, are annoying and Take away from the beautiful natural environment. But fortunately, they are fast, in and out, and then back to peaceful bike riding. I highly recommend this company for any and all adventures and experiences they manage.

Couldn't be more friendly and helpful, such super staff. We rented paddle boards and had a fantastic time on the lake. Standing up for long periods is much harder than it looks.
