Experience the charm and history of Douglas, Arizona on this motorized day trip that begins at the historic Slaughter Ranch. Tour participants will explore the home of Texas John Slaughter, learning about his life as a legendary lawman and rancher while gaining insight into Arizona’s rich ranching history. The tour then continues to the Gadsden Hotel, one of the most ornate and storied hotels in the state. Visitors will hear fascinating tales, including the legendary visit of Pancho Villa who rode his horse up the hotel’s marble staircase during the Mexican Revolution, the speakeasy that operated during prohibition, and the experiences of notable visitors such as Thornton Wilder and Johnny Depp. Along the way, participants will enjoy the combination of history, architecture, and storytelling that brings Douglas’s past vividly to life.
Discover the creative and cultural side of Douglas with visits to three unique galleries after a short break for local street tacos and Sonoran hot dogs at Douglas City Park. Participants will tour the Art Car World Museum, created by Harrod Blank of Killer Klowns from Outer Space fame, and the Last Supper Museum, which features one of the largest and most diverse collections of Last Supper depictions in the world. The tour also explores the town’s long-standing high school rivalry and, time permitting, a local art museum. This experience blends history, culture, and art, allowing visitors to engage with the stories, creativity, and local traditions that make Douglas a remarkable and multi-dimensional destination. The tour offers both education and entertainment, providing a full day of exploration, insight, and cultural immersion.

I signed up for what I understood to be a guided van/bus tour around the Manx GP track. I understood that the tour would have commentary from a past or (if lucky) current TT or Manx rider. The van picked us up promptly at our hotel at 8.30 and we were met by a very pleasant driver whose name I failed to catch. The driver was a good guy who knew the island well but absolutely was not knowledgeable about the course or racing. This was certainly not the drivers fault, he maid no pretensions of racing knowledge or experience. There were 10 of us on the van and of the 8 I talked to each of us had the same expectation of a knowledgeable individual as guide/driver on board. Given that this tour was booked for and taken on the Sunday of the '24 Manx GP weekend this seemed reasonable. Nice tourist tour but largely waste of time and $ race fans.

Well after a bad experience with duke we decided to give them another go , well arrived we arrived at the Isle of Man TT no problem with the travel , on arrival at the camp site at 5.30am was told no tents till 3pm no travel card either when we did get our tent it was dirty no proper bed as detailed on the booking package just an air bed and a duvet the size of a postage stamp The air bed kept deflating just as quick as our experience duke the washing facility were inadequate 3 sinks for around 100 tents Breakfast one person doing everything so 20 minutes to get a cup of tea , toilets are unisex filthy dirty showers 5 showers for several hundred people so to sum it up just don’t do it once you have hit the island your on your own

Staying at the TT Village, for the 2022 Isle of Man TT, have to say from booking the trip including the ferry. I have been kept informed all the time on what is happening due to covid and the like. Once we arrived at the TT village if we had any issues regarding our stay. Richard and Katelyn sorted it there and then, can’t fault them. Awesome people 🙌🙌👍 A big thank you to all at Duke travel and Richard and his team at the TT VILLAGE.🙏👍.

Great service and friendly staff. Our package included ferry service, transfers to and from port, stay in the village and grand stand tickets. Had a great time, the village stay is comfortable, close to the grandstand, food and beverage vendors, grocery and a bus stop. Self serve breakfast with 24 hour coffee/tea available, pre order sandwich and dinner purchase are available there too. Richard and Josh great with answering queries from TT races to luggage storage. Will book again with Duke Travel.
