It was magical! I visited the northernmost zoo for the first time, and it was very nice to see that the animals are well cared for and that great effort is made to create conditions as close to the wild as possible. Everything was very interesting, even though it was very cold. The only disappointment was the small selection of souvenirs and the very limited number of magnets.

Didnt get to stay here but visited in late-December 2025. Nice zoo, and got to see quite a lot of artic animals, especially the polar bear and artic fox. However the zoo is quite far away from the city center. Would try to stay here for a day or 2 the next time I visit Finland to enjoy the experience better.

A winter ☃️ experience at the northern most part zoo at Finland! Though some animals might be sleeping or hibernating overall you still can see the polar bear, wild boars etc. The guided tour with hearing aid was useful, and we spend close to 2 hours walking around and understanding the animals behaviour habitats etc. Overall a nice experience though the walkways can be quite slippery due to snow.

Fantastic experience in this wonderful place. Big parking just nearby. Nice people at the reception and at the restaurant. Good food at the buffet. Clean toilets. Basically all very good! The animals are nice to see and in a clean environment. A place that you should visit for sure.

It was a nice experience, owls, polar bears and wolves etc etc. It would have been better to see the animals more active…they seem tired. Possibly came at a bad time but lovely place and great for tourists.
