Amazing experience with Imagine Travel – unforgettable Iceland trip! We had an incredible experience with Imagine Travel during our trip to Iceland. We joined the Northern Lights tour as well as a day trip to Goðafoss, the lava fields, and Hverir – every place was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide, Ármann, was truly outstanding. He is extremely passionate about his work and has deep knowledge of Icelandic history, culture, and local stories. His storytelling made the journey even more special, and his sense of humour – especially the Viking jokes – made us laugh throughout the trip! He looked after everyone so well, always putting health and safety first, and making sure we felt comfortable and informed at all times. You can really feel how much he loves his country and enjoys sharing it with others. Icelandic culture is truly fascinating, and this experience made me fall in love with the country even more. I’m already looking forward to coming back in the summer to explore even more of this beautiful land. Highly recommend Imagine Travel and especially guide Ármann! ❄️🇮🇸

We had an unforgettable experience on the Northern Lights tour with Imagine Iceland Travel. Our guide (Norbert) was exceptional—knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to give everyone the best possible chance of seeing the aurora. He shared fascinating insights about the science behind the lights. History of Akureyri all while keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed One thing I really appreciated was the company’s kind of “second chance” policy: if we didn’t see the Northern Lights on our tour, we were welcome to join again the next night for free. It took all the pressure off and made the whole experience feel even more guest-focused and fair. Norbert went above and beyond—constantly checking weather updates, adjusting our route, and finding the perfect viewing spot. His photography tips were incredibly helpful too, beyond all of this - in my undestanding - he is the only one who offers to take photo of you for free, no other company does this and thanks to him I came home with fantastic photos. Seeing the Northern Lights is magical, but having such a dedicated, friendly, and experienced guide made the night truly special. I’d recommend this tour—and Norbert—to anyone dreaming of a breathtaking Arctic adventure!

We did a few excursions with Imagine Iceland Travel and had a really great experience. For both tours we were picked up from Hotel Akureyri, which made everything easy. The Northern Lights trip was a success, we saw the lights, and the guide was happy to go past the planned finish time because it took a while for the clouds to clear. It felt like they genuinely wanted us to get the experience, not just stick to a strict schedule. Our Lake Mývatn day tour with Ármann was the highlight. Because the light levels were low in the morning, he rearranged the order of the stops to make the most of the day, and even with the changes, we never felt rushed. We still saw loads, and Ármann was friendly, personable, and really knowledgeable throughout. Honestly can’t recommend them enough.

Lovely friendly professional guide (Àrmann) who made us feel welcomed and at ease. Informative and passionate. We saw an amazing show and the guide really wanted us to experience the wonder of the northern lights. Impromptu booking and so glad we did

Trusty (that’s not how you spell his name but trusty he was!!) took us to many places and gave lots of useful information about each place (and also told a few jokes along the way). Weather helped as it was a nice day - think it would have been less enjoyable if it was raining. Good value for money and definitely a great way to see so many of Iceland’s sites.

Me and my partner went for the Northern Lights hunting and Ármann was our guide. I must say he is very knowledgeable and engaging. Probably the coolest person I have ever met in my life with an outstanding sense of humour. We had a great sighting and above all the experience was top notch. Thanks for the great memory!!!

It was an excellent trip, our guide is very informative and knows the area well.. the waterfall was amazing, the lake beautiful, the volcanic fields with smoke coming out of the ground is interesting and the extra stop to the cave and the rift between Eurasia and North America are very cool.. our guide gave us extra stops to the geothermal power stations and old town so extended our tour time to 7 hours… thanks biggies for your OT..we are very grateful for the extra time to see all the beauty of this town

A wonderful day touring out of Akureyri. Small group tour is the way to go. Our guide Johannes was exceptional. He timed stopping at all of the tour points to arrive ahead of the large bus tours to beat the crowds. If you have a short time in Akureyri this is the tour to take. Unfortunately our cruise schedule was a bit off with a 6:00 AM arrival and departure at 3:00 PM. The thermal baths at Lake Mývatn did not open until noon leaving not enough time to enjoy them. Not the fault of the tour operator. Many tour operators tried to arrange for an earlier opening but were refused because the schedule had been switched to winter hours. The itinerary was modified with some additional time and stops. Johannes is friendly, humorous and very knowledgeable. He has spent his life in Akureyri and is proud to show the area to visitors. Meeting point is at the cruise pier. On time to check in and on time to depart.

Jon was a fantastic guide. He was local so could share his own knowledge. He was extremely informative and made sure everyone in the group were included. We were extremely happy with our day trip!

The trip had too many wonderful and interesting sights to pick out the best one, but the activity I enjoyed the most was being able to take a dip in the thermal Nature Baths. Our guide, Binky, was great! Very friendly, very informative, and very accommodating. We loved that the trip gave us time to explore Akureyri on our own after the trip.
