Just back from the 2-Day Sapa Trekking Tour and it was fantastic. Our guide, Sung, made the whole experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took us off the main paths to see the real Sapa—terraces, local villages, and scenery you wouldn't find on your own. He shared stories about his culture and was incredibly patient with our pace. The homestay at Mamazuzu House was a highlight. It was simple but clean and comfortable, with a warm, welcoming family. Sitting down to home-cooked local meals with them was special; the food was fresh, delicious, and felt authentic. The trek itself was the perfect level—challenging enough to feel rewarding but manageable. Getting to see everyday life in the villages was humbling and beautiful. If you want a genuine, well-organized taste of Sapa with great people, this tour is a great choice. Big thanks to Sung and the family at Mamazuzu House!

The bus journey was long, but totally worth it and very accommodating

You will find the real north Vietnamese cuisine here. Some of them felt exotic. Good to try out of comfort zone.

The family and the food was really nice. Just make sure the weather is right and that you have a second pair of shoes:)

Had a great time in Sapa, Mama Zuzu and her family were great hosts and guides - unfortunately I had an issue while I was in Sapa but they went out and beyond to help me, they were super kind!

Ma Ma Zu Zu and her son, Tub, gave us an amazing experience at Ma Ma Zu Zu’s home stay. We trekked through Sa Pa mountain roads with a view to the rice fields and walked through villages. Great view, trek, hospitality, guides and food. Can highly recommend!

Lots of stores, make sure u start with half the price for bargaining. The sausages are good and cheap here on the outskirts, not in the inside barbecue stands tho. An ultra strong local wine made of corn is available here, good luck with it. Just 2 shots are enough to get u landed.

Night market highlights: Found a unique sweet soup that tasted amazing! 🥣 Also picked up some cashews and big red dates. Pro tip: Don't buy from the first shop you see—prices vary a lot, so it pays to shop around and compare. Definitely worth a visit!

Saw a lot of stuff here from fruits, souvenirs, food, clothes even plants! We bought various kinds of coffee from one vendor and tried a hot dessert from another. It has a very relaxed atmosphere which we loved

It’s a small market where you’ll come across some questionable meats and food items, but also a few unique shops. I was particularly drawn to the handmade knives on display — really interesting craftsmanship. Overall, a fun little place to wander and explore.
