We had a great time! All the equipment was provided, so luckily we didn’t get cold at all. The guides were very friendly, professional, and always made sure everyone in the group was safe and taken care of. Because of the slightly bad weather conditions, some people decided not to join the tour. We really appreciated that an additional guide stepped in and led a separate tour for the others. A great solution that worked out perfectly for everyone. My partner and I wouldn’t have minded if the tour had been a bit longer. Overall, we were just very happy that the tour could take place at all and that we got to experience something so amazing. Highly recommended!

Snowmobiling across the top of Vatnajökull Glacier with our kids was straight-up epic. Glacier Journey was fantastic to work with - super responsive, organized, and so excited to make our trip amazing. We booked a private tour for our family of five, and they fully geared us up with overalls, helmets, face masks, and gloves so we were ready to hit the ice. Since we were an odd number, one of our kids rode with the guide, which turned out to be a huge hit. None of us had ever driven a snowmobile before, but it was surprisingly easy to pick up and insanely fun. Within minutes, we were zooming across an endless white landscape that felt raw, untamed, and completely unreal. The views were stunning, a vast frozen wilderness of sharp ridgelines and sculpted snow, where the sheer scale of the landscape stretched endlessly in every direction and felt utterly surreal. Cruising across a massive glacier is a thrill like no other, cold wind in your face, engine roaring beneath you, and the wild silence of the ice stretching out in every direction. The kids were absolutely thrilled, laughing, waving, and grinning from ear to ear the entire time. For them, it was pure adventure; for us, it was a magical family memory we’ll never forget.
