A beautiful place but they sell it as all about getting the perfect Instagram photo. You get a number and wait your turn for your photo in-between the gates. Lots of "next pose, next pose". If you're willing to wait potentially hours for that, then no problem. I went and did other things to kill the time. However, I highly recommend asking at the gate to go pray in the temple. You have to buy an offering at around 25k, and the guide will take you up and take you through the ceremony. Now that was a fantastic experience, not touristy, very calm. Be aware that the ticket you initially buy on the gate does not get you access to the other sites up the road. Each place has its own ticket to buy.

Beautiful temple and an unforgettable experience. While waiting for our ticket, we met a super friendly guy offering quick photos nearby as he can see we were struggling to take pics. I kept reminding him that we might not go ahead with the photoshoot but he kept insisting on helping us throughout our time there n telling us he doesn't mind as he's just simply helping. He even did little videos for us and so patient even though it wasnt part of his job. We thought it might be a scam at first, but he was genuinely kind and took photos with no pressure at all. We ended up doing a 45-minute photoshoot which was 1min walk away, and it became the highlight of our trip. Amazing people, beautiful natural backgrounds, great props, and worth every penny. I forgot his name, but please look out for his smiling face—truly a wonderful human being. ❤️ We obviously tipped him at the end because he was just so kind until the end without any expectations.

Nice architecture but no views due to low cloud during our visit. There is a separate charge of 50k per person for the bus to the entrance, although that's better than the 3km very steep walk. Entrance fee is 70k per person. Most people spend time here waiting for a photograph between the stone gates and there's not a large amount else to see. There are nice views looking up to the gates from the garden below.

A place I have always wanted to visit since the first time I come to Bali and so glad I did. It's a beautiful spot. Only took us about 2:30 hours drive from Legian to here and we only had to waited about 40 mins for our photos. Overall a great experience.

After reading a fair bit of mixed reviews, we were a bit hesitant to go however went anyway. We stayed close by so the ride in wasnt too bad. To be honest just follow the instructions from security. We were told to turn into the big car park to park and catch the shuttle bus. We paid 50k for 2 (return trip) there. The road up was small and narrow, so shuttle bus makes sense, for safety as well as less traffic for better road conditions and people who live along the route. Once we got off the shuttle bus, we were guided to the ticket booth where we purchased the ticket (70k each) and got our number for the photo. Then you get to pick your own sarong and something to cover your shoulders (free of charge). Afterwards you can walk up to the temple or pay someone to ride you up on a motorcycle. We decided to walk as it was a really nice one. Get there, wait, walk around, watch people pose and then once our number was called, we took the photos! Nice experience and you do not need to pay for things that you do not want to. Total cost: 25k x 2 for shuttle bus + 70k x 2 for tickets = 190k.
