I booked the indigenous tribe experience. 2 nights 3 days with the tikunas in the Arara Comunity. It was amazing. T We had the best guide -Cristian-! He checked up on us all the time, made sure thatvwe were fine, and also changed the programm due do our tiredness/fitness Level. He is an Amazon expert and knows the jungle like the back of his hand. His family is super sweet, fed us well and took Good care of us. I can't reccomend him enough. He is also doing the deep jungle experience. Whatever you book. Look Cristian as your Tourguide!

We did a 3 night 4 day trip and it was the most amazing experience ever. We saw and did so much in such a small space of time. The guides were lovely. Never ever thought I’d be able to say I swam in the Amazon river at sunset and slept in a hammock in the jungle, but I did exactly that. These memories will last a lifetime

We booked the 2 days / 1 night Zacambu tour which is a very good option to do different activities in a short time and with a small group, so more individually. After the pickup at the hotel in Leticia we went a few hours by boat through small side arms of the Amazon river before arriving at the River Lodge, where we would spend the night. As you are quite far away from Leticia, the accommodations are very simple and „natural“, so don‘t expect too much. All meals are served here and the food was really nice and varied (mostly local fish, vegetables, fruits and juices), so also suitable for vegeterians or pescetarians. Other activities were as announced fishing, swimming, a night boat safari and visiting a monkey sanctuary. So next to the Piranhas we were able to see lots of wildlife such as sloths, grey and pink dolphins, monkeys and a caiman. In general the whole trip was well organized. Our guide Juan and the captain of the boat were experienced and had a lot of knowledge about the Amazon region and it‘s flora and fauna and could tell a lot of local stories. They really did their best to make the trip exciting & comfortable and made us feel safe during the trip. As the guides usually only speak Spanish, i would recommend to book a translator in case you don‘t speak Spanish. We really enjoyed the tour and would definitely book at Amazon Experience again.

The tours with Amazon experience are absolutely amazing ! If you are looking for a survival experience with the chance of building a table from scratch, nighttime fishing (then cooking via campfire the next day with said fish), canoeing in an amazing river, hearing incredible jungle sounds all day & night, learning to identify medicinal plants & animal tracks (including a jaguar & a baby jaguar) then this tour is for you ! I went in a small group with David as our guide & learned so much, had lots of laughs, & was able to get a sneak peak into what it's really like to live in the jungle. I'm amazed by the medicine that the jungle offers & learning about the various medicinal plants & trees that have allowed the Indigenous communities to survive was a really special experience. I appreciate how Amazon Experience is intentional about working directly with Indigenous guides who are incredibly wise about the jungle. The trek to the Calderón River, although very difficult, was also a huge personal challenge which allowed me to tune into my body & really push my body past what I thought was possible. & swimming in the river after this trek only made it more special. Thank you to the amazing Amazon Experience team for making this Deep Jungle trek possible & to the tour group that made this experience memorable.

One of the best experiences I've had in my entire life, hands down. If you have ever wanted to go to the Amazon, this is the agency to go with. They were very attentive to my laundry list of allergies and medical conditions, all the while making my entire trip very safe and adventurous. They are very prompt at communicating before booking , and their tour prices are extremely reasonable compared to other tour agencies. Our tour guide Alci was amazing, and was extremely informative. He was very attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and made sure that we were safe at all times. Our boat captain Mideiro was very funny, and was a great boat driver. He worked very well in synch with Alci, to ensure that our transportation to and from places were as smooth and pleasant as possible. We requested for an English speaking guide, and she was amazing also. Her name was Sofia and she did a wonderful job with helping us with translating between our guides, the hostel family, and other tours we attended during this trip. She was very professional and kind. We loved every bit of this trip, and we are very grateful to be hosts for the native communities. Saw alot of animals, especially loved seeing the pink dolphins and the monkeys in the rehabilitation center. Their food was good, we got 3 meals a day and everything was really fresh from the chicken, fish, plantains, fruits, etc. Was truly amazing , and would recommend this tour agency to anyone !
