An excellent day trip to San Sebastián and Gaztelugatxe! Everything was very well organized, and we would especially like to praise our guide Adur. His English is excellent, communication was clear and pleasant, and the stories he shared were both engaging and informative. Adur didn’t just talk about the places we visited — he also gave us a lot of valuable insight into Basque culture, history, and way of life, which made the experience even more special. It was clear that he truly loves his region and shares his knowledge with great enthusiasm. San Sebastián impressed us, and Gaztelugatxe was the absolute highlight of the trip — an incredible location and a truly unforgettable experience. Spectacular. We’ve visited in beginning of October and it was still fairly crowded although not too crowded. Perhaps also as it was during the week and around 4PM In the afternoon. The walk from the nearest parking is relatively short. On the way back there’s a little elevation but nothing crazy. A massive restaurant and public restrooms available.
Joined tour from get your guide on a sunny day. We arrived there in a small group with tour guide’s driving us. At the beginning the tour guide took us to a public toilet and there will be no toilet afterwards. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a jacket that you can take off while keep walking. Bring water. At the end of the walk, there will be a store selling water and simple food.
