Visited Bhaje Caves on 25th Dec. Entry fee is ₹20. Parking is free and available for both 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers. A short hike of around 15 minutes is needed to reach the caves. The caves are very beautiful, well maintained, and not too crowded. The structure is huge with many sections to explore. The upper section was closed during our visit, which was a little disappointing. Overall, a great place to visit, especially if you’re visiting Lohgad Fort — must visit this place after that! 🏞️✨
A own time place. Place is around 30 mins from Lonavala. While entering the area you need to pay 5rs if you have a two wheeler (10 if pillion included). I beleive for cars, it's again 5rs per person. Seems like this is for the cleanliness of the area (not entirely sure) You don't get much parking spots and have to park on the side of the road so car travellers beware. To reach the caves, you have a mix of steep and normal steps and it'll take around 15-20 mins to reach the caves. Before the cave entrance, you have to buy tickets (online only for some reason) which costs 20rs per adult. (Ticket cost not justified as per me). You only see a very small part of the caves, total exploring will take a maximum of 5 minutes. It can be a good spot for photos. I see it as a place to check off if you come to lonavala and are with your family. There are no boards explaining the caves, no descriptions or texts anywhere.
Best one day picnic near Lonavla. If you are travelling nearby Lonavla then its must visit place. Malavali is the nearest railway station. From Malavli you can get share autos which will take hardly 10 mins to location. While visiting caves you will see best views of Sahyadri. This Buddhist caves are 400 feet above the village of Bhaja village near Lonavala. Visapur and Lohgad are nearby attractions. The caves are very similar to the Karla Caves in their architectural design. At the center, there is a large prayer hall called the Chaitya Griha. On either side, embedded in the mountain, are the smaller caves with artistic doors and windows carved in the stone.
