Experience. A rewarding day journey from Kathmandu leads through the cultural heart of Bhaktapur and onward to the peaceful hills beyond. Bhaktapur Durbar Square feels like an open air museum where medieval temples palaces and courtyards reveal centuries of devotion craftsmanship and living tradition. Walking these stone lanes brings close views of detailed woodcarvings graceful pagoda roofs and sacred spaces still used by locals today. The atmosphere blends history daily life and quiet reverence creating a deep connection to the artistic soul of the Kathmandu Valley.

Discover. The route continues to Changu Narayan home to the valley oldest Hindu temple still in active worship. Surrounded by ancient sculptures and finely carved struts the shrine reflects early Nepali artistry and spiritual symbolism. From here the journey rises to Nagarkot a hilltop village famous for sweeping Himalayan views. At sunrise or sunset the mountains glow above rolling hills and the wide Kathmandu Valley below. Fresh air open landscapes and gentle walking trails make this a calm and memorable escape from the city.

Experience your horizon filled with the Himalayan ranges. It is a surreal experience, soothing and pleases the eyes no end. Sunrises are picturesque to the extent that we forgot to shoot. Peaceful environment and a must watch for those who do not get to see snow clad mountains often. One flip side is missing washroom facilities anywhere close which local authority should do something about. Charge nominal fees for Montain Tower View plus washroom but provide facilities.

This is the tower constructed on Nagarkot Sunset view point. But somehow it seemed broken to us and we couldn't climb on it to get a clearer view of the sunset. May be its not build for common tourists and is only meant for survey teams with suitable permission. Anyways, sunset from this point is a Breathtaking sight.

A quick but worthwhile visit. The trail is easy, and once you reach the tower you get a wide panoramic scene of hills and forests. Great for sunrise or sunset if you want a calm environment.

I learnt so much from my tour guide Phadi and about past, current and future Nepal. The religious significance of Bhaktapur was amazing to learn about and the Nagarkot sunset was incredible.

Sunrise from Nagarkot was lovely. The view of Himalayas was great though doing a trek you get alot closer. Our guide gave us a great tour of Bhaktapur...well worth doing the tour to understand the background to this unique part of the city.
