I offered myself the 200h Yoga Teacher Training as one offers a journey back to oneself. I arrived at the academy with no expectations, almost a beginner, not really knowing what yoga had to teach me. And yet… in just 22 days, I received far more than I could have ever imagined This month was a bath of softness, discovery, and transformation The team welcomed us like family, with that rare kindness that touches the heart. The teachers, radiant and passionate, guided every step, every breath, with infinite generosity. And the food… lovingly prepared, fresh like an offering to both body and soul. The place itself breathed peace. The rooms were pristine, the beds so soft that my nights there were among the best I’ve ever had. Each day opened in light and ended in gratitude This month was a month of peace, love, joy… and yoga :)) I leave with my heart wide open, filled with deep gratitude. Grateful to have lived this experience with such a wonderful group.

I had signed up for a 10 day tour in Kathmandu and just wanted a quiet way to spend a few days adjusting to the time zone before I dove into the busy tour. What a wonderful decision! Myself and another woman were there just before the next yoga teacher session began and had such a personalized agenda of yoga sessions, massages, sound healing, tea, meals, and even a tour of the Monkey Temple. All I had to do was get up , get my tea and go where they told me to! The facility is a nice compact compound at the edge of the city. I enjoyed a walk around the town streets and tea on the roof with an amazing view of the city. The food was lovingly cooked by Kopila, simple but fresh. She and the other staff at the academy took great care of us! Anil picked me up from the airport and dropped me off to my hotel at the end, sharing pictures and stories of his son. Yusuk (sp?) the manager took care of any details we needed to address. The entire 3 days was comfortable and very nice, and was an amazing (and suprisingly cost-effective) way to start my time in Kathmandu. As other's have said, the dogs and the roosters do have a chorus in the early morning hours, so ear plugs or white noise is very worth while. It is in the city after all.

I did the 3 day Insight to the Buddhism Monastery Yoga Retreat and it was honestly one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had in Nepal. Our teacher, Krishna, was wonderful: kind, open and very thoughtful in the way he guided us through yoga, meditation and Buddhist philosophy. His presence made everything feel safe and genuine, and I learned so much from him. I loved visiting the monasteries, meeting the monks and learning about the Buddhist tradition in such an authentic way. It felt very special to be welcomed into those spaces. The school organised everything smoothly, and the accommodation was top notch — honestly a dream. The food was also nutritious and very tasty, which made the whole experience feel even more nourishing. More than anything, this retreat touched my heart. It gave me time to slow down, reflect and connect with myself, with others, and with the place we were in. I left feeling peaceful, grateful and inspired. I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a sincere experience rooted in connection, compassion and presence.

I had a wonderful experience with Himalayan Yoga Academy. The entire team is professional, warm, and truly dedicated to creating a meaningful journey for every participant. Their logistics are excellent — from accommodation to meals and class schedules, everything was well-organized and thoughtful. They offer yoga teacher training programs and retreats all over Nepal, and it's clear they’ve mastered the balance between structure and soul. I spent a few weeks with them and felt not only physically stronger but also mentally clearer and more connected. Whether you’re looking to deepen your yoga practice, become a certified teacher, or simply take time for yourself in the peaceful surroundings of Nepal, this place is a beautiful choice. Thank you to the whole team — it felt like being part of a family. Highly recommend!

I have attended the singing bowl level 1 and 2, and I really like the himalaysis yoga academy! First of all, my teacher Raj and Prapti are truly good teachers, that they inspire me a lot. If I have any question, they always answer unreservedly, even after class! Also, manager Suyog and his family are very friendly and passion of assisting student, just don’t hesitate if need any help. Lastly, I like the unsophisticated atmosphere here, close to the nature, make me easy to focus on learning.
