This bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the best cultural heritage site. everyone should buy the entry ticket for the entrance specially for the foreign tourists. inside the temple and ancient old villages are still are available. if want to visit the full Durbar Square we need all day.
Arpita

A unesco world heritage site which has a collection of beautiful temples, perhaps the largest durbar square in Kathmandu. It houses the tallest temple in Nepal, over 30m tall 5 tiered pagoda style temple dedicated to Godess Laxmi. There is also a replica of the Char Dham of India. We had over an hour to spend here, which felt too little to appreciate the magnifience of the temples. Entry fee is NPR 500 for SAARC nationals and NPR 2000 for foreign nationals.
PARTHA

One of the important sites in Kathmandu Nepal which hosts a cluster of temples and important monuments inside the area. This area can take at least 3/4 hours to visit properly but sadly we only had an hour. This along with Taumidhi square nearby is worth a day's visit. The entry fee is 500 NPR and is accepted only in Nepali currency (for Indians). But there is a money exchange counter near the ticket counter which is good. Highly recommended with ample time at disposal.

Quite an interesting place to visit and spend time. The place is a historical heritage. However, the local guide who showed us around had barely any substantial knowledge or information about the place. Not were there any plaque or description boards to enlighten oneself about the historical relevance of the place. That said, this site is one of the popular tourist sites in the region. Worth the visit and the trip.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is located about 13 kilometers east of Kathmandu. This beautifully preserved square is the crown jewel of Bhaktapur, which was once the royal capital of Nepal. This place offers a glimpse of the glory of the Malla Dynasty. The square is home to intricately carved temples, palaces, courtyards, and statues that each tell a story of Nepal’s artistic and architectural excellence. Notable landmarks include the 55-Window Palace, Vatsala Temple, Nyatapola Temple, and the Golden Gate. Despite being damaged by the 2015 earthquake, most of the area has been painstakingly restored or preserved. Overall, Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Nepal.
