Booking a classic whale watching tour from Dalvik with ArcticSear tours was indeed a good decision which I can recommend to others. The tour takes you around Eyjafjörður Fjord past Hrisey island. The smaller boat typically identifies first the whale and communicates this to the bigger boats. We have majorly followed the same humpback whale but it was interesting to closely observe the behaviour of such creatures whilst they're feeding and breathing at specific and replicable time intervals. Fascinating experience! N.B. We have in reality booked an 11am tour just the day before and in the evening we have received that this tour was cancelled and were offered to move on the 9am tour. I was flexible so I accepted but could have been potentially an issue. The weather deteriorated further in the afternoon so ultimately was a good decision.

Kurze Wartezeiten, nur 15 vorher. Wir waren nur 6 Teilnehmende und konnten uns auf dem Boot bewegen. Haben mehrere Buckelwale gesehen. Die beiden Bootsführer konnten all unsere Fragen zu den Walen und zur Landschaft beantworten.
