As we all know, it takes a bit of luck to get the opportunity to see whales. But we were indeed lucky: the boat was nice and tidy, and the crew were very helpful. They did a good job. I'm glad we went on this trip and made some memories.

We really enjoyed the fact that the boat we were using was once a whale catching boat and now it has been transformed in a whale warching boat, the location seems more authentic. Then the guide was pretty explanatory and the included cinnamon buiscuits and chocolate were a pleasure during the sailing. We happened to see four humpback whales and the enthusiasm was great. Plus we started our guided whale wathing tour in a nice comfortable hotel where we were greeted by a friendly and lovely dog, i believe was called Aska. Great value!

Excellent trip. It was well organised and the guide was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. The fjord is narrow and sheltered so the seas was calm and it did not take long to get out to where the whales were. We had multiple sightings of humpbacks. It was really lovely to be out in a traditional wooden fishing boat.

This was, by far the best experience we had on Iceland. Due to the weather we had rebooked a whale watching cruise from Husavik to here. Best choice. Even our very friendly guide was impressed by how many whales we saw. In the meantime, 3 whales were at the boat at the same time. All in we saw more than 9 different Humpbacks. Some.of them more than once. And even 2 White sided dolphins came Close and jumped around us. We where all's sooo impressed. Thank you for this amazing trip.

Amazing weather, saw minky and humpback whales. No pods unfortunately, but saw quite a few whales, overall very happy with the experience!! The boat was not crowded (unlike others we saw from other agencies) and it was very relaxed on board. I appreciated that the captain kept a safe distance from the whales, we were able to see them close and far. Other speed boats got way too close to them, and the whales swam further away. We loved the chocolate and biscuits. We would have liked to hear a bit more about Icelandic history and whale watching and hunting, but we will head to the whale museum in husavik for this :) thanks to the crew and the team!!

We saw so many humpback whales! Both up close and far away. It took about an hour into the ride before we saw them. I was originally supposed to be in Husavik to see them but the company suggested I switch because of weather. I am so happy that I did. They gave us thick, waterproof overcoats to keep us warm on the boat. We were glad we had them. It was cold. I did feel a little sea sick on the ride back but nothing terrible, but if you’re sensitive beware.

Last minute decision to do the afternoon tour out of Arskogssandur - its was wonderful! So warm & sunny that we didn’t need the insulated overalls, and a large pod of whales were south in the fjord. We were total of 3 hours in the boat as we turned slowly within a large pod of humpback whales. It’s was truly amazing! The afternoon tours are typically less people than the morning & better weather (at least on the day we went. The guide was excellent - super helpful and we enjoyed every minute!

Great fun. Saw many whales. The jackets/overalls provided were really necessary because of the ocean. If you turn your back to the ocean spray and put on the hood, the ocean spray won't get you as wet and cold. Would gladly do it again if I had a chance. James from LA.

What an amazing experience! My group and I had a great time whale watching and enjoyed seeing 3 humpback whales on our tour. Here are some tips that I want future whale watchers to know before they go: - make sure to keep your layers on because even under the provided coveralls it can get chilly! - invest in a strap or bracelet on your phone, I found that it’s easy to drop your phone especially with clunky gloves and cold hands so a strap is very useful! Overall this was an amazing and worth it experience! We stayed warm with the provided coveralls and warmed up even more on the way back with a nice pastry and hot chocolate! Very nice captain and crew as well! Absolutely recommend this for anyone interested in seeing some majestic whales! 🐳
