I really enjoyed the ride, and the people from the ranch were great. However, the horses were too thin and did not seem to be taken care off properly. They are overworked and underfed. I would have loved to purchase apples and carrots after the ride to feed these beautiful animals.

Fausto Mateo was our guide and I have to say this was TOP CUSTOMER SERVICE! He is an amazing guide. We had another gentleman helping us and I apologize for forgetting his name. Next time we are back in DR we will 100% book through the direct website and request private lesson on horse! 100/10 recommend & request for him. We had pick up and drop off from our hotel and we truly appreciate that!!

The ride and the views were great, but I was very disappointed in how the horses were being treated and how horribly thin they were. I’ve been riding horses for over a decade and this was not normal. I understand that feed is more expensive here but these animals need to be properly fed in order to continue to work for you. They are very well trained, kind animals. But if you decide to go, please be prepared to be greeted by horses that look extremely skeletal, lifeless and depressed. I love horses and this was something I really, really looked forward to this vacation and I actually started crying looking at the state of them. I would say 5/10 of the horses were extremely underweight. We ended up requesting that one of our horses, which was in an absolutely NOT rideable state, was switched with another and were told “Dominican horses are different” and then laughed at. Maybe they’re different, but this was…. Incredibly sad. We actually wanted to leave but were pretty much pushed off into a crowd with about 10 other people and no option to leave. I would never do this again or recommend it to anyone, it definitely put a huge damper on the trip. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS FEED YOUR HORSES MORE. THEY WORK SO HARD FOR YOU! And everything would be perfect if they were just taken care of.

Our horseback riding tour was fantastic! The driver picked us up at our hotel in Punta Cana, we drove for about 45 minutes and met up with the horses. Once on the horses we rode along a beautiful beach. We continued our ride through some trees and had a break further down the beach. The scenery was gorgeous and we loved the horses. Thank you for a special day!
