I am camping here with a tour group and have to say that this place has blown my mind away again and again! Special mention to the sweetheart “Gorata” for helping to arrange a viewing of the Botswana Elephant Centre with the guide “Big Tom” Gorata has been so kind & patient to introduce to us the library in detail, section by section, telling us everything she knew.. even some of the history that happened long before her time. Her smile is infectious and helps to lighten up our day immediately. Big Tom also gave us an in depth explanation about the elephants of Botswana and the problems that come along with Poaching. Humans like poachers can be bad but these 2 here definitely have a heart of gold :)

I had a very difficult time prepaying for my reservations. The lodge required payment in advance but offered no secure online payment link, forcing me to use a bank wire transfer. After sending the funds, there were unexplained shortfalls, repeated email exchanges about missing amounts, and requests to resend proof of payment. Eventually, after several days and multiple messages back and forth, the issue was sorted out, and my credit card was finally charged to complete the reservations. The staff were polite throughout, but the entire process was far more complicated than it should have been. A simple, transparent online payment system would make this much easier for international guests. Our stay was pleasant, and the safari was excellent, but there were several issues. I was not given the required proof of payment for the safari at check-in and only learned I needed it at 5:30 the next morning. The TV’s internet connection was intermittent, requiring me to repeatedly adjust a loose cable. And needing to watch for baboon droppings on the walkway to our room made the experience feel more like a 3-star stay at a 5-star price.

Overpriced campsite with squeezed camps. Pretty noisy due to the dense packing of camp sites. Charge you 60 Pula for 4 pieces of firewood. That’s really insane. Got wet one on top. Overall not worth the money spent.

I cannot recommend this hotel. If you book the campsite, you're treated like a second-class citizen. Were we even allowed to use the restaurant despite having a reservation? The campsite toilets were the most disgusting I've ever seen. The showers were also dirty, and the water was cold. The campers are packed in tightly. The pitches are small with artificial light, and instead of nature, you hear noises that probably come from an energy generator. I don't understand why they offer a campsite if they let it get so run down. The food was more about quantity than quality.

Beautiful location, terrible service. We were a big family (18 people). When we got there, they had made a mess with one third of our rooms. One family was split in two distant rooms, one family had no room. They eventually fixed it (1hour). Then we had a boat tour booked, so we ordered sandwiches for lunch. Also took about 1 hour to get them, and when we did the orders were ALL mixed up and it took 20 minutes to figure out what was what. Also 1 sandwich was missing. In our room there was WiFi with NO INTERNET. Same with other rooms of our group. When we asked for help, they offered to change the room but we were only staying one night and we were already unpacked so we didn't want that, so they said we had to deal with it. There are no plugs near the bed, so you have to get up and out of the mosquito net if you need to use your phone while charging (or bring a very long extension cord...). The AC would either be maximum fan speed or off. No in-between. At dinner, it took 30 minutes to get drinks (we were almost finished eating). The rooms are patched up to look luxurious but are actually falling apart with badly fixed appliances all over. The photo is a good representation of how the rest of the room was: nicely painted, rotten inside. On a positive note, some of the food was pretty good and the location was really beautiful. Amazing boat tour and game drive in the morning.
