This early morning excursion begins with hotel pickup from San Pedro de Atacama at 5.00 am in summer and 4.30 am in winter. After a scenic drive of approximately 99 kilometers, you will arrive at El Tatio Geysers, located at 4320 meters above sea level. Arriving at dawn allows you to witness one of the most impressive geothermal spectacles in the Andes, as steam columns rise dramatically against the sunrise and surrounding volcanoes.
El Tatio is the third largest geyser field in the world, with steam and water columns reaching up to eight meters high and temperatures close to eighty six degrees Celsius. During the return journey, you will stop at the thermal pool inside the park, where you can relax in warm waters heated naturally by the geysers. The tour also includes a visit to Machuca, a small traditional village with adobe houses, where you can experience local flavors before returning to San Pedro de Atacama.
