I found the company through google and I am so glad we went with them. The captain (Eduardo?) did a great job getting us there and finding the sharks. Mateo did a great job explaining the process and even took lots of video and photos of our experience for our family. My kids 10 and 12 had an absolutely great time and made some wonderful core memories! After our swim with the sharks we headed to Isla Mujeres Playa Norte and enjoyed the crystal clear waters there. Mateo and the captain prepared the best conch ceviche we ever had. Mateo and Eduardo made this an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much!!!
We had the most amazing day with Blue H2O! Yesterday we went on the whaleshark tour and everything was easy, and basically perfect, from beginning to end. John met us at the ferry in Cozumel and made sure we all got over to Playa. He escorted us to our shuttle, with us to the ferry. On the way he share some really interesting facts about whalesharks and gave us an idea of what to expect from the rest of the day. When we got to the marina we met Matao, who was our guide during the tour. Together, John and Matao got us to our boat and we headed out. The weather was perfect and our boat captain obviously had years of experience. The ride out was about an hour and 20 minutes. To be honest, I was really expecting chaos when we got to the site where we would get in, but it really wasn't. Blue H2O really has perfected their process. The boat captain did an excellent job getting us into the right spot to jump in and Matao gave great direction on how to get lined up to swim along side these amazing creatures. He captured some amazing video of myself and my son that we will treasure for our lifetime! One gentleman in our group was so overwhelmed by the experience, that he had dreamed about for 41 years, that he was in tears. It was so touching to watch as his dream came true! At one point we spotted eight whaleshark around us at one time. It was nothing less than amazing. As we returned, we stopped by Isla Mujeras for some drinks and some really good, fresh ceviche and guacamole. We are from the Southern US, and this was a lot like Crab Island in Destin, FL. I highly recommend the Whaleshark Tour with Blue H2O. If you are in Cozumel during their feeding season, it is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. You never know if you'll get that chance again.
My family (ages 12-50) and I took this tour from Cozumel. It was absolutely incredible and an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives! John and his team are extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and fun. We saw about 10 different whale sharks, each of us got to swim with them three times. We then went to a beautiful beach for a fresh lunch and drinks. If you are going to Cozumel, you have to use BlueH2O for an unforgettable experience. It is well worth the traveling! Also, make sure to buy the videos ($65 for a couple), they do a great job at capturing the experience!!
