Tajma Ha Cenote Dive (From Cancun)

Discover the underwater magic of the Tajma Ha cenote, a world-class cavern dive just a short journey from Cancun. Originally named Taj Mahal by its first explorers for its breathtaking beauty, this site was later renamed by the Maya, whose word "Ha" means water. Your adventure begins as we travel down a jungle road deep into the heart of the Riviera Maya, setting the stage for an unforgettable scuba experience. This special 2-tank dive is designed for certified divers and adventure seekers ready to explore one of the region's most stunning underwater systems. The journey takes you through an ethereal halocline tunnel, where freshwater and saltwater meet, creating mesmerizing visual effects. You'll navigate past impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations that have been sculpted over millennia, with countless ancient fossils embedded in the cavern walls and ceiling. While Tajma Ha is a spectacular year-round destination, it offers a truly magical light show from March to September. During these months, beams of sunlight penetrate the cavern's openings, creating what is known as the "Points of Lightroom," an otherworldly display that has to be seen to be believed. At one point during your dive, you'll surface in the "Sugar Bowl," a serene opening where you may spot the sacred Mayan Motmot bird, known for its vibrant colors and gentle call. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities. Our professionally trained and highly experienced instructors will guide you through this incredible environment. To ensure a personalized and intimate tour, we keep our groups small, with no more than four divers per instructor. To participate in this cavern dive, all divers must have an Open Water Scuba Certification (or higher) and be at least 10 years of age. Your all-inclusive cenote diving adventure covers everything you need for the day. This includes all scuba equipment, tanks, lamps, and underwater flashlights. You'll be accompanied by our English-speaking guides and provided with bottled water, breakfast, and lunch. We also handle all the logistics with transportation from our facility to the cenote and a convenient drop-off at your hotel within the Cancun hotel zone. Pickup is scheduled for 6:00 AM at our facility, though specific times may vary depending on your location.
