Estancia La Estela is a beautiful place with a lot of potential, very peaceful and calming, perfect for getting away from it all. However, the rooms feel quite outdated, especially the bathrooms, where we didn’t have enough hot water for our showers. Even after reporting the issue, the hot water returned but only in very small amounts. The restaurant prices are also quite high, although the food quality is definitely good. Overall, a lovely spot but some improvements are needed to fully enjoy the stay.
Our stay at La Estela was absolutely remarkable! Surrounded by pure nature and offering extraordinary views, this charming retreat left us in awe. The care and attention from the staff were exceptional—we felt warmly welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay. One highlight of our visit was the unforgettable horse ride. We opted for the lunch-inclusive experience, which added so much to the adventure. Our guide was attentive, kind, and made sure we had a fantastic time exploring the stunning Patagonian landscapes on horseback. Truly a memory to treasure! The hotel’s location is also a major plus. Nestled conveniently between El Calafate and El Chaltén, it’s just about a one-hour drive to either destination, making it an ideal spot if you're traveling by car. We wholeheartedly recommend La Estela to anyone visiting Patagonia. Thank you to the wonderful team for your kindness, attention, and everything you do to make this place so special.
A wonderful two night stay at Estancia La Estela. We went for my partner’s birthday and both had a lovely time (and the staff were generous in helping to celebrate too). The staff are true hospitality pros and put you at ease, absolutely lovely to be around. The bar in particular (which we used throughout the day), has stunning views, and is a relaxed space with games to enjoy. Horseriding was brilliant, iconic Patagonia with a delicious steak. Rooms are comfy and with good views. Breakfast and dinner both good with homemade breads. It’s not fine dining food that’s going to set the world alight but it’s tasty and does perfectly along with wine from the cellar. I’d highly recommend for a couples break. Samuel and the team in particular are excellent. Thank you!
