We (2 adults one 16yo) had so much fun on the Island Hop On Tour. I was a bit surprised at first because it is quite full and hectic after the lonely surroundings, had some trouble parking, there were queues and everything was done in a rush. So I expected some horrible touristy „get this over quickly“ experience. But then the driver was so patient, the island was so beautiful and we got some interesting explanations and impressions. And so much fun riding the RIB!
We had the most incredible day out with Blacksod Sea Safari on the thrilling RIB Sea Safari tour. The ride itself was such an adrenaline rush – fast, exciting and so much fun – but always felt safe in the hands of our brilliant guide Julius. He was full of knowledge about the history of the islands and the abundant wildlife we encountered, from shags and seals to the famous black rabbits of Duvillaun. Exploring Inishkea South was absolutely breathtaking. The beach looked almost tropical – white sand, turquoise waters, and the haunting ruins of the abandoned stone houses making it feel both magical and mysterious. Taking a swim there was unforgettable. This trip had been a long time coming, as it’s very weather dependent, but that just shows how safety conscious the team are. Micheál was fantastic to deal with in the lead-up – you can tell he’s genuinely passionate about the area and its wildlife. We chose the Sea Safari RIB tour, but you can also opt for the Island Experience in a traditional fishing-style boat if you prefer something a little steadier. It was 100% worth the wait – a truly unforgettable and epic day out. If you’re thinking about booking, do it – you won’t regret it!
Had a Great trip on the island hop safari. Good weather was with us. Inishkea islands are a very picturesque part of an already beautiful part of Ireland. Great trip and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.
