Follow the scenic riding trail into Knockreer Estate, located just north of Lough Lein, and experience the heart of Killarney National Park like never before. Our stables are open year round from nine am daily, offering a variety of horseback experiences including hacking, trekking, and trail riding. Riders can choose from one, two, or three-hour guided tours through some of the most picturesque areas of the park, suitable for all levels of experience.

Killarney National Park, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is also part of a Special Area of Conservation. Your ride will take you along peaceful trails beside Lough Lein the largest of the park’s three lakes and through breathtaking landscapes filled with soaring mountains, rolling hills, and a rich variety of native flora and fauna. These trails offer a unique opportunity to explore the park’s serene and diverse natural environment on horseback.

All rides are guided by experienced staff and tailored to suit riders of all skill levels. For those without equipment, we provide riding hats and boots to ensure comfort and safety. We can accommodate groups of up to sixteen people, and additional horses are available upon request for larger parties.
