It was an amazing experience to witness the Sema ceremony. It is a weekly ceremony in an actual monastery. I was in search of an authentic whirling dervish ceremony and I am glad that I found one. The staff was very helpful and hospitable. Clear instructions and video was sent to find the place easily. The introductory video before the ceremony could be shorter. Photos and videos were allowed. Snacks were served. It was a great way to end our trip to Istanbul. Thanks to EMAV for allowing us to be a part of their ceremony

Fantastic experience. Folks went above and beyond in being accessible and in providing clear directions. The music and voices during prayers surrounded us in the small room, making the atmosphere divine. This is a must. A very moving ceremony and a genuine warm welcome for all visitors. Photos and videos were also allowed, so we have something to look back on when we go back home. It was wonderful to see women as well as men fully involved in the ceremony.
