5/1/2026 We were picked up at our hotel by the guide, it was only me and my family alongside another tourist and our guide. The weather was perfect for a hike, we went through a few valleys starting from one and ending at another. The guide was very helpful from providing us with information of each area to the smallest things such as taking pictures and suggesting the best angles. When it came to lunch time, he provided a fulfilling meal and allowed us to rest. We then continued our hike. Generally, the trail wasn't that tiring as we had short breaks and the pace wasn't fast. To summarise, it was the perfect hiking trip and i suggest to follow this guide as he is experienced(16yrs in Cappadocia)
An amazing adventure with great guide, getting to know the landscape and history step by step. An amazing adventure, getting to know the landscape and history step by step. It's something I could never have done on my own. Halil's passion and knowledge of the nature, history and geology of this place really shines through. To see some of the churches and chapels carved out of stone in the middle of a rock formation called a fairy chimney spire - and to be in places where it was just our small group - this is the gift of going off the beaten track to really experience this landscape by walking!
We really had the best day hiking with Halil. He knows so much about the area and is fun too. He also knows all the best photo spots! Incredible scenery, great company, tasty picnic lunch, and good English. I highly recommend Halil and would definitely book him again.
