Hiking and Caving - Terceira island

The Lagoons & Volcanoes tour combines two exciting activities into a full-day experience of approximately 8 hours, including lunch with drinks. The morning begins with a hike along the Mistérios Negros trail, a 5-kilometer route celebrated for its exceptional natural beauty. Along the way, you will encounter serene lagoons, dense cryptomeria forests, endemic Azorean vegetation, and striking volcanic landscapes. The trail is of medium difficulty, with an altitude difference of approximately 100 meters over irregular terrain, making it perfect for those who enjoy moderate hiking in a stunning natural setting.

In the afternoon, the tour shifts to a minivan journey focused on volcanology. You will visit the interior of an empty volcano, walk through a fumarolic field, explore the lava tunnel of Gruta do Natal, and stroll along the natural pools in the parish of Biscoitos.
